I mean come on, you can't tell me it costs them that much to run their compressors just to fill up four tires with air. Thank god there are still a few country stations that have the old fashioned cachunk cachunk air machines where you dial in the required air pressure and it fills you up to the asked for pressure.

I mean come on, you can't tell me it costs them that much to run their compressors just to fill up four tires with air.
Thank god there are still a few country stations that have the old fashioned cachunk cachunk air machines where you dial in the required air pressure and it fills you up to the asked for pressure.

We still have stations in the country that have air for free. And I keep a compressor int he shed to keep the tires pumped up on my machinery and the cars and trucks.

They were never accurate. Between my dad & I we've had our own compressors for the past 30 years. Never payed for something that should be free.

What would you do if you often see people gas up elsewhere and just come to you for free air?

Times have changed over the years. Should I now have a low tire and a gas bar (I am choosing my words carefully to avoid any reference to service)requires a payment for air, I will avoid the establishment in order to seek out a merchant who still recognizes the value of customer service.
